Biography

Captain Morgan Malone is the Education Officer and Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies at Detachment 055, University of California Los Angeles. She is responsible for leading, recruiting, training, counseling, and evaluating Air and Space Force Officer candidates in their preparation to commission as Officers.

Capt Malone commissioned into the Air Force as an Acquisitions Management Officer and Space Operations Officer. She has served as a Satellite Vehicle Operator of over 30 Global Positioning System (GPS) Satellites, and garnered engineering experience by working with Boeing and Lockheed Martin contractors as a GPS Satellite Vehicle Subsystem Analyst. Capt Malone has Program Management expertise in technology maturation and engineering development. She recently served as Deputy Integrated Planning Team lead of the Systems Engineering Integration and Test unit for the ACAT-1 GPS III and GPS III Follow on Programs. She also deployed as the Space representative coordinating strategic level operational planning for the Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve across Iraq and Syria.

Capt Malone has been active duty in the United States Air Force since commissioning from the United States Air Force Academy in 2015. She received her Bachelor of Science in Management from the United States Air Force Academy.
