Sylvia Rincon

Biography

As the sole civilian in this military department, Ms. Rincon manages the administrative operations for the UCLA Air Force ROTC program. She serves as the staff liaison between Detachment 55, Aerospace Studies, and the University at large. She is responsible for staffing the main administration office, providing financial analysis, and accounting administration to the Chair. She oversees and coordinates academic, enrollment, admissions, and scholarship administration. She also advises students in the ROTC program, coordinates outreach activities, and works on training events/special projects as needed.

Ms. Rincon attended Loyola Marymount University (LMU) and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology in 2011 and went on to pursue a Master’s in Counseling earning her Counseling degree also from LMU in 2014. Ms. Rincon has been working in higher education for the last 22 years and is an experienced academic advisor and administrator. She loves working with students advising, guiding, mentoring, and providing support when needed.
